3 month DA subscription Woo Hoo!



I'm a subscriber!
I start my summer teaching schedule next week.  3 days a week!
I added a PHP image rotator to my site to show the photos that aren't good enought to post here!




Since I've had more time to play, I have been taking some photographs.  The problem is that I have a hard time deciding on a subject.  I look at the really great photographers and they seem to see beauty everywhere.  I can walk around for hours and still come home empty handed.  I am thinking of doing a series of photos depicting the southwest landscape.  I would really love to capture one of our spectacular sunsets without power lines all over the horizon!

Through a lot of experimentation I think I am improving.  Just a few weeks ago I was searching through the menu to turn off the auto flash!

Jason was actually the person who introduced me to DA .  He has been an inspiration to me and he never gives insincere platitudes.  As an artist is it great to see comments like 'this rocks' but it is just as important to hear a few points of constructive criticism.



I am really enjoying discovering photography, but my main focus is my website.  My goal is to build a portfolio that reflects my best work and to streamline the look of my site.  I recently released a new version that conforms to the W3C's web standards.  With a CSS layout and none of that atrocious table abuse!    I've also been dabbling in PHP.  I have had an equal amount of success and failure in that area though.  So it suffices to say it will be a while before I have that in my pocket!
